Yo pertenezco al grupo de los que llevamos apuntado lo que nos ha gustado, sorprendido o disgustado del libro que acabamos de leer, incluso suelo escribir en unas líneas el argumento si se trata de relatos diferentes por miedo a no identificar el título con el argumento. Si el libro me ha llevado un tiempo, bien porque era largo o bien porque no he podido leerlo más rápido, parece que lo recuerdo mejor, si lo he leído del tirón durante los primeros días, me encuentro con que sólo puedo hablar de él si recurro a las notas. He olvidado gran parte de lo leído que voy recordando cuando el resto habla.Nunca le había dado importancia a esto hasta que esta semana, leyendo un periódico, me encontré con un artículo con este título ¿Por qué olvidamos los libros que leemos? Y he descubierto que existe una razón científica que lo explica, que existe algo llamado “curva del olvido” que tiene que ver con la velocidad con la que olvidamos algo, la mitad de lo que aprendemos o leemos, si no lo repasamos o retenemos se olvida, desaparece.Nada ha cambiado, yo seguiré llevando mis notas al club y me seguirán sorprendiendo las personas que lo recuerdan todo, pero al menos ahora se que no soy la única y eso consuela.Canción: "De los Libros" Jarabe de PaloWHY DO WE FORGET THE BOOKS WE READ?In relation to books, something curious happens to me, I usually remember the places where I read them and I have trouble remembering the title, or associating it with an author or even forgetting part of the plot, even though I remember the color of the cover, the type of letter or the illustration that appeared.I especially remember the places I have read in the summer, or on vacations, not so much the books read before sleeping or on Sunday afternoons.I have been a member of a reading club for a year and it surprises me how some of the 20 people we meet there every 15 days, remember perfectly authors, titles, stories and details of books read in the past.
