Andy Butchart is a 2016 Rio Olympic finalist, finishing 6th place in the 5000m, 2017 London World Championship finalist, finishing 8th place in the 5000m and Multiple British 5000m champion.Butchart takes us back to how he got into running as a junior and being a 1500m athlete to transitioning into the 5000m where he has had great success at European and World level.Butchart holds Scottish records over the 3000m indoors, 7m 41s and outdoors, 7m 37s, and also the 5000m a blistering 13m 06s.We talk about the benefits of altitude training and why Butchart incorporates it into his training cycle, his great relationship with Mo Farah on and off the track, his ability to stay composed under high pressure competitions, how he copes mentally with his major injuries in 2018 & 2020 and what his biggest piece of advice is for any aspiring athlete.It was great to have him on and share his journey with us.
