There are many Laksmi (Lakshmi) chants for abundance. This one includes "Maha" - which translates as "great". So it translates as asking for, petitioning for great abundance! Chant this in multiples of 3 - 3, 6, 9...or 21, 27, or 54. A full mala (the prayer beads used to keep count of your mantra in Japa chanting) has 108 beads. So 54 is a half mala, 27, a quarter. 108 is a wonderful full practice! When you have finished chanting, sit in silence for a few minutes to allow the resonance to settle within and around you.
Always chant respectfully. These are ancient, sacred sounds and not be to be 'grasped' in a western way of wanting more.
I offer this unreservedly for the benefit of all those that feel called to chant, and all who are in need of abundance in one form or another.
