Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, coming at you with some seriously cool meteorological magic for Omaha and beyond! We've got a forecast that's gonna be more exciting than a fourth-quarter touchdown!
Right now, we're looking at some crisp conditions that'll make you want to grab your favorite jacket. Overnight, we're sitting pretty with a steady temperature around 38 degrees Fahrenheit and an east wind cruising at 8 miles per hour. Talk about a smooth defensive line of weather!
Let's break down our Weather Playbook segment! Today, I want to talk about something called temperature inversion. Imagine the atmosphere like a football field where the usual rules get flipped. Normally, temperatures drop as you go higher in the sky. But during an inversion, we get a layer of warm air sitting on top of cooler air - like a defensive linebacker blocking the usual temperature play! It can trap pollution and create some seriously weird weather conditions.
Now for our three-day forecast - and I'm calling these plays like a championship game!
Monday: Sunny with a high near 50 degrees Fahrenheit. North wind between 9 to 11 miles per hour with gusts up to 22 miles per hour. It's gonna be more crisp than a perfectly thrown spiral!
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, temperature climbing to near 60 degrees Fahrenheit. South southeast wind 6 to 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 24 miles per hour. Warming up like a team in the second half!
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high near 67 degrees Fahrenheit. North northwest wind 7 to 11 miles per hour with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for - It's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks!
