Good morning, weather watchers! Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us in the Carter Lake area.

Tonight, we're looking at a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures holding steady around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a northwest wind dancing around 7 miles per hour, keeping things crisp but not too blustery.

Moving into Friday, we'll see a partly sunny day with temperatures climbing to a modest 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will pick up to 6 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 18 miles per hour - so maybe keep that scarf handy!

Friday night brings partly cloudy conditions and temperatures dipping to around 18 degrees Fahrenheit. The winds will calm down, shifting softly from northwest to south around 6 miles per hour after midnight.

Saturday looks cloudy with temperatures reaching near 35 degrees Fahrenheit. A gentle south southwest wind will be your atmospheric companion, blowing 5 to 7 miles per hour.

Weekend weather gets interesting Saturday night! We have a chance of rain and snow before midnight, possibly transitioning to a slight chance of freezing rain after 3 am. Temperatures will hover around 27 degrees Fahrenheit.
