Expect less than half an inch of snow accumulation.
Saturday is going to be a real winter wonderland. Snow is expected, mainly before 11 in the morning. Temperatures will plummet to around 20 degrees by 5 pm. Hold onto your hats because it's going to be blustery, with north winds ranging from 10 to 18 miles per hour and gusts up to 29 miles per hour. We're looking at about an inch of fresh snow.
Saturday night? Bundle up! Mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to a bone-chilling 3 degrees. Wind chill values could feel like negative 12 degrees. Northwest winds will be howling between 14 and 17 miles per hour.
Sunday brings a slight reprieve with mostly sunny skies, but don't get too excited. The high will only reach about 12 degrees, with wind chill values as low as negative 14 degrees. Northwest winds will continue at 8 to 14 miles per hour.
The cold trend continues through Washington's Birthday and into early next week, with more chances of snow and temperatures staying well below freezing.
Looking ahead, we're in for a prolonged cold snap with temperatures struggling to climb above single digits. So, break out those extra layers, warm socks, and hot beverages!
