Good morning, weather watchers! This is your weekend weather update for the Carter Lake area in Iowa.

Get ready for a gorgeous stretch of sunshine and mild temperatures. Tonight, we're looking at a crisp clear evening with temperatures dropping to around 30 degrees. Bundle up a bit, but nothing too extreme.

Sunday is going to be absolutely beautiful with brilliant sunshine and temperatures climbing to near 67 degrees. Expect a light west southwest wind that'll pick up to about 5 to 10 miles per hour, with some occasional gusts up to 17 miles per hour.

Monday brings even warmer conditions, with temperatures soaring to around 77 degrees. Southwest winds will be a bit more lively, potentially gusting up to 26 miles per hour.

Now, heads up there's a Fire Weather Watch in effect, so if you're planning any outdoor activities, stay alert and cautious.

As we roll into midweek, expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to mid 70s. Things get interesting by Friday, when we're looking at a good chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, with temperatures around 75 degrees.

The weekend wraps up with cooler temperatures and a chance of rain, with highs around 47 degrees and some breezy conditions.
