Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming in hot with today's forecast for Carter Lake, Iowa.

Let's dive right in! Tonight, we're looking at a clear sky with a steady temperature around 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a south southeast wind blowing around 14 miles per hour - perfect for keeping things interesting.

Friday's going to be a bit of a wild ride. We've got a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms rolling in after 2 pm. Temperatures will climb to a warm 76 degrees Fahrenheit with some seriously breezy conditions. We're talking south southeast winds between 15 to 23 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching up to 37 miles per hour. Pack a light jacket and maybe an umbrella!

Friday night gets even more exciting. Rain and thunderstorms are likely after 1 am, with temperatures dropping to a chilly 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be shifting and dancing around, starting south and then switching to northwest, potentially gusting up to 41 miles per hour.

Saturday brings a mix of rain and snow in the morning, with temperatures barely reaching 46 degrees Fahrenheit. By Sunday, we'll see some sunshine with a high near 57 degrees Fahrenheit.

The early part of next week looks promising, with temperatures climbing to a lovely 77 degrees Fahrenheit on Monday and even hitting 79 degrees on Tuesday.
