Good morning, weather watchers! Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us around Carter Lake, Iowa.
Bundle up tonight because we're looking at a chilly evening with temperatures dipping down to around 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect mostly cloudy skies and a gentle north northeast breeze at 3 to 5 miles per hour.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, we'll see a slight warm-up with temperatures reaching near 39 degrees Fahrenheit. The winds will be light and playing a bit of hide and seek.
Christmas Day looks promising with patchy fog in the early morning, but it'll clear out to become partly sunny. Temperatures will nudge up to around 41 degrees Fahrenheit with a soft southeast wind of 5 to 7 miles per hour.
As we roll into the latter part of the week, things get a bit more interesting. Thursday brings a chance of drizzle after noon, and Friday might see some light rain. Temperatures will be relatively mild, climbing to around 51 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weekend looks pretty decent with mostly sunny conditions on Sunday and temperatures hovering around 52 degrees Fahrenheit. Just a heads up - we might see some wind gusts up to 16 miles per hour.
Looking ahead to Monday, there's a potential for some rain with temperatures near 47 degrees Fahrenheit.
