The Namibian People Against Poverty Organisation says it has around 25 000 members nationwide, of whom 40 have committed suicide this year due to poverty. The organisation held a peaceful demonstration in Otavi to draw attention to their state of poverty while also having the government to support and finance their small businesses. Social activist Rosa Namises told In the Newsroom that poverty is breaking Namibia.
