OMS Second Hand News

Students led the discussion today and included a variety of news events as well as some other chatter. 

We are in our third rotation of podcasts this year and we have a group that is ready to go! This week, they discussed the Ronda Roussey KO, the Starbucks Scandal, and even threw back to the nation's first serial killer. Additionally, the group took some time to remember the attacks on Paris.

Students researched and debated the merit of the YRS system in America and for their own educations.

Mrs. VanGorder was gone this week. We talked about the accident at the Disney Speedway, we talked about Angelina Jolie, the woman who left her quadrapelegic son in the forest, and much more.

Because of Mrs. VanGorder's absence, the group was quite sad this week. Topics included Lincoln's assassination, Russian spies, iOS 8.3, USA's new deal with Cuba, book review on "The Selection," the first lady of North Korea, a baseball game in Minnesota.

Students work diligently to try to focus in the minutes before the bell rang to release on Spring Break. In the meantime, PARCC was the topic of discussion.
