Listen Later

Executive Director and Artistic Director of Carolina Performing Arts Alison Friedman joins 97.9 The Hill News Director Brighton McConnell on Thursday, July 24. Carolina Performing Arts unveiled its 2025-26 schedule of programming earlier this week, with the theme “Long Live The Arts.” Friedman discusses choosing that theme and curating artists around its message, as well as some of the key artists swinging through and dates to keep in mind. She also detailed CPA’s ticketing system, which aims to lessen the barrier to attending the performances by allowing for ‘name your pricing’ tickets in the 24 hours before shows.

On Air Today features conversations with the latest newsmakers in our community, including local elected leaders, educators, business owners, and anyone else with their finger on the pulse of the greater Chapel Hill community.
