To me, this is exactly the process which our nation is going through right now. We've come to learn that we cannot rely upon others to supply the goods and services we need to get by.

We've seen this in the past when OPEC choked off our supply of oil in the 1970's. Or when the Asian financial crisis of the 1990's threatened a worldwide financial meltdown. Or the on-going crisis in Venezuela, which threatens all of South America.

All foreign crisis, which have ultimately had an impact here in the States.
