It can be an amazing gift to a child whose circumstances are difficult or even untenable for a family to come along and make them a full-fledged member—last name and all. They get an identity, a past and a future, acceptance, and even an inheritance. It’s almost too good to be true.

This is what it’s like to be adopted into God the Father’s family. He gives us the right to call him ‘Daddy.’ He doesn’t just treat you like a son; He treats you as a son. How amazing is that?
