Today on the podcast we are joined by Julia Allisson Cost, who was one of the first artists who truly captured my attention online as a multifaceted artist who creates in different mediums. Julia, who is based out of Maui shares her experiences as an artist and how she remains true to her calling. Whether she is painting, sewing, moving her body, or preparing fabric to be shared, she is always in motion, consistently following her muse.
The strangest thing is that I almost missed this interview. I was deep in rest and a bee came out of my dream and into my bedroom to wake me up for this chat and I am so delightful and thankful for that bee. We had a beautiful conversation on art as a necessity, her family influences, dance, and more. I left feeling even more inspired to pursure my art, and I am so happy to share this conversation as we dive in to learn more about Julia.

Gentle reminder: We are in a casual conversation here and I am speaking from a very relaxed place and not thinking about how others will interpret my personal opinions or what I say. Sometimes when I listen back I realize "wow, I could have articulated that differently" however, I do not feel the need to speak in trepidation of how the world will digest my own words, opinions, or things I have said. With this, if the podcast resonates, please share, subscribe, and consider subscribing to my public journal on Substack or supporting via Buy me a Coffee.
