New York City FC will try to rebound from their 2-1 defeat at Atlanta United last weekend when they visit the bottom-dwellers in Major League Soccer, FC Cincinnati, on Saturday.
D.J. Switzer, who covers FCC for Pro Soccer USA, will join Glenn Crooks for a preview of the match.
New York City FC had a strong need for depth at right back and a trade with Minnesota brought Eric Miller to the Bronx. Glenn has a one-on-one interview with the newest member of NYCFC.
“If you’ve every driven I-71 between Cincinnati and Columbus you will have undoubtedly seen a road side bill board that says, “Hell is Real.” Cincinnati and Columbus fall within a bible belt and it’s not unusual to see the 10 Commandments posted on bill boards. This is amongst a series of religious billboards.” - D.J. Switzer describing the origins of Ohio derby name.
“I certainly think there is a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none aspect of that. The other side of the coin is if I couldn’t play left back or center back I probably wouldn’t have played in half the games I’ve played in MLS.” – Eric Miller on the possibility of being a victim of his versatility in trying to acquire a full-time position.
