On God’s Redemption Calendar Christ Came

(A Song of Christ’s Incarnation and the Feasts of Redemption based on Luke 1; Leviticus 23; Daniel 9.

By Zeres Vitto

Verse 1 – The Announcement (Luke 1)

In the days of promise, heaven broke the night,

Gabriel descended with holy light.

To Zechariah, then Mary’s door,

And spoke God’s word as never before.

Six months counted, the moment came,

The Spirit moved, Emmanuel named.

In Mary’s womb, salvation began,

The eternal Son took flesh as man.

Pre-Chorus – The Fullness of Time

Not by chance, not by man’s design,

But right on heaven’s calendar line.

The ages waited, the clock struck true,

The Word was made flesh, the promise fulfilled.

Chorus – God’s Appointed Time

On God’s redemption calendar Christ came,

According to promise, according to plan.

Not by tradition, not by man,

But written in heaven’s sure command.

From prophecy spoken, from feasts foretold,

The Lamb arrived as the prophets told.

On God’s redemption calendar Christ came,

Jesus Messiah, Savior of mankind.

Verse 2 – God’s Feasts Explained (Leviticus 23)

The feasts were given by the Lord’s decree,

Signs of redemption for all to see.

Not man-made days, not later devised,

But holy appointments God authorized.

Passover pointed to Jesus’ saving blood,

Unleavened Bread—Christ’s sinless life stood.

He rose on Firstfruits from the borrowed tomb,

At Pentecost the Holy Spirit was given for the harvest of souls.

Verse 3 – Incarnation and the Fall Feasts

Trumpets announced the coming King,

Atonement spoke of cleansing from sin.

Tabernacles—God dwelling with men,

And in flesh You tabernacled then.

The Word made flesh, our God with us,

Born in humility, not pomp or fuss.

The feasts declared what You would do,

And in Jesus’ life, each one came true.

Bridge – A Loving Caution

Not every feast that history claims

Was written by God or bears His name.

Traditions arose in later days,

But not all belong to redemption’s ways.

God’s feasts alone reveal His Son,

From Eden lost to victory won.

We honor the Word, not custom or lore,

Holding fast to what God spoke before.

Verse 4 – Daniel’s Prophetic Clock

Daniel saw the time marked clear,

Messiah would come, the end draw near.

To finish transgression, bring peace again,

Then cut off the Lamb for the sins of men.

Not myth or legend, not guess or scheme,

But prophecy fulfilled in history’s stream.

When Christ took flesh, the clock began,

For the earthly phase of redemption’s plan.

Final Chorus – Past, Present, and Future

On God’s redemption calendar Christ came,

Fulfilling the feasts, fulfilling the plan.

He died as the Lamb, He rose as the First,

Redemption begun on earthly ground.

He ministers now in heaven above,

Till judgment is done and sin removed.

Then God will dwell with His people made whole,

All feasts fulfilled in Christ alone.

Outro – Hope Ahead

From promise to cross, from cross to throne,

From shadow to substance fully known.

The feasts still speak of what You’ll do,

For all find their meaning, Lord, in You.
