Dear Quarter Lives

On Mental Health Advocacy with Mohamed el Maandi

Listen Later

In this episode, we talk to mental health advocate Mohamed Elma'andi about what advocacy is, what it takes to become one and how to talk to people about mental health.

Mohamed Elma'andi is a photographer and mental health advocate. He studied finance and worked in marketing for 8 years until 2016 when he was going through depression and decided to start seeing a psychotherapist. Through his journey of healing, he found photography and began to study psychology online and educate himself on the topic. Eventually, he felt called to spread this knowledge and help inform others about mental health by holding mental health awareness talks and meetups.
