Winter is a difficult time for many people and we would like to introduce you to a family who has found a way to show Jesus' love to others this Christmas season! Meet the Howard family: Kim, Tyler, Hudsyn and Brody. The youngest in the family, Brody, felt God move him to want to find a way to show His love during Christmas time. So, in 2023, Compassion in Action was born.

We had to bring back this series from Season 3 for the holiday season! Hannah Nelson, Rosemary Nelson and Zachary Sims join us in the studio to introduce us to Lutheran Social Services of IL. There are thousands of at-risk children every year in our region who are in need of support and care. LSSI has programs in place to screen potential foster families, train and prepare those families and support those families during their time in fostering. Did you know you don't have to foster a child full time? You can be a mentor or volunteer for respite care or even provide emergency temporary shelter for a child until they are placed in their foster home. Check out these resources to see how you can help children of Southern Illinois.
