Did you know that part of our vision as a church is to plant churches? That seems like a grand and distant dream, and it is! But it begins locally in the small everyday opportunities we have to reach out beyond the walls of our church and into our community and world through mercy ministry in the streets, learning to share our faith with others and putting what we learn into practice, and in engaging in missional projects locally and globally.
Our fourth Discipleship Pathway is Sent. Being sent doesn't necessarily mean that we have to become a missionary, evangelist, or move to another country. We can be sent to our neighbor. We can be sent to our coworker. We can be sent to the hungry souls living in the streets of Frankfurt. Either way, however, all disciples are “sent” by Jesus into the world. We cannot hide out in the walls of the church and follow Jesus at the same time.
