For this show, and our next show, we will continue to honor the life of Randall Robinson, international human rights activist and leader in the movement to bring down the brutal, racist system of apartheid in South Africa. This is the second of three parts, with more speakers, including Rep. Barbara Lee of California, speaking at the Washington, DC memorial held for Robinson in June of this year.

Plus headlines: Japan dumps wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean. 1100 remain missing after Maui wildfires as many bodies recovered crumble and are ash. Argentina, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia are newest members of the BRICS economic group. News organizations in Africa speculated about the impact on countries including Mali and Burkina Faso after of the apparent death of Evgeny Prigozhin, head of the Russian mercenary Wagner Group, which aided those countries in battles against violent militia groups. The NLRB passes rules to help union elections happen faster. Trump hawks his mugshot on a t-shirt.
