In today's show, titled after a quote by Dennis Prager, Josh starts by talking about Social Security and the problems that are plagueing that program.  Next, he covers the FISA section 702 vote, and shows how these big government spying policies are in direct violation of our rights as American citizens and as humans.  It is both scary and angering how far the abuse of civil liberties has been allowed to go.  When we think of tyranny, we don't often think of America.  This episode might change your mind.  

In Josh's first solo episode, he talks about the relative stagnation of wages for men and the decline in the labor force, as well as the changing job structure in America.  Next he discusses swamp monster Bill De Blasio and the other NYC City Council members giving themselves outrageous rages (oon the taxpayer dime).  Finally he ends with Donald Trump's Tweet of the Week!  

The guys review the major political events of 2017 in this first episode of the New Year!  First they give their grades of the Trump administration in it's first year.  Then, they play a new game called Good Trump, Bad Trump and analyze the major policy decisions that the President has made in his first year.  Finally, they look at the most influential political events of 2017 and make a few predictions for impactful events of 2018.

Coming off a great Christmas holiday season, the guys open the show by discussing 7 ways that technological innovation helps save the planet.  Next, they deep dive into Venezuela.  Socialism in Venezuela has caused a massive economic collapse.  People are dying in the streets from lack of medical care and food, yet it is still not considered "true socialism" by the progressives.  Next, they talk about Israel and President Trump's decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem.  Finally, they close with a follow up on the big tax bill that was just signed in to law.  

In their return to behind the mic, the guys start the show by discussing anti-trust laws from a case in Italy involving ice cream.  Next they talk about the Pentagon undergoing it's first ever audit, and their hopes that it won't be useless.  The discussion leads into a question of incentives - the question is posed, what should the incentives of a politician be?  Finally, they talk about a politician in Massechusetts who has turned to the dark side and used his powers for evil....

This week's 10 Minutes of History is about the internment of Japanese Americans following Pearl Harbor during WWII.  This story often gets lost in the talk of WWII because of the gravity of other events, but I believe that it is worth telling and reminding everyone of the events that occured.  It is not impossible that something similar could happen today, and for that reason we must keep this story alive.  

This week's 10 Minutes of History is about the Great Recession.  This has come up a lot in our show, and I thought it would be a good idea to give you guys a short overview of what actually happened in the recession.  This one is more like 20 Minutes of History, but who's counting anyway?

In Episode 5, the guys open by discussing the newly passed Senate tax bill and the nuances of that.  Next they have a long discussion on monetary policy, the affects and possible outcomes of the current state of our economy, and analyze the debt.  Then Josh gets heated over whether or not a baker should be forced to bake a wedding cake if he doesn't want to.  They end the show with Donald Trump's Tweet of the Week!

In the second edition of 10 Minutes of History, Josh talks about the First Thanksgiving.  The story of the first Thanksgiving is often mistold, and this episode attempts to tell the real story.

The guys are back from a long Thanksgiving break and begin episode 4 by discussing the first of the gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey.  This leads to a discussion on the absence of good political discourse in America, and the fracturing in our society it is causing.  This episode deep dives into the divide in our politics that leads to a divide in our society, and explores possible solutions to this problem.
