Hello everyone!
We're so excited to share episode 31 of our podcast. Each month the podcast will be focusing on themes, and the theme for August is 'overcoming hardships'.
In today's episode we have a special guest speaker, Kristin Stewart, join us to talk about the personal hardships she has faced in her own life. We cover some really hard topics and we're so grateful for Kristin's open honesty and heart to share with our listeners.
Kristin is a mum to two beautiful teenage girls, retired make up artist and successful business woman. She's just about to sell her dream home which she built with her husband of 16 years and make the move to the Gold Coast with her family.
She is a proud Tongan/Australian and comes from a large family of 9 siblings. She was young when her parents divorced and she has nothing but positive memories from this time in her life. She spent a lot of time whilst growing travelling to Tonga with her father and loved everything sporty throughout her childhood.
Kristin and her husband have a passion for property and spent around 10 years building their dream home together in Sydney as they could afford it and they're now in a position to purchase a new property in the Gold Coast in cash.
From a career perspective she's worked in Real estate, then moved to work as a Makeup Artist before starting her own social marketing business. She wanted more in terms of lifestyle and balance which instigated this change in her career.
It hasn't always been easy sailing and there have been many challenges along the way which Kristin so kindly and openly shares with us on the episode.

Hey there,
In todays episode we deal some love uppercuts about something we believe has been crucial to achieving our own personal successes - unleashing your inner mongrel!
One of the reasons this is such an important topic to us is because we really hate seeing people quit on themselves or on their dreams! We are true believers that nothing is going to be handed to us, we have to go and get it. That's one of the reasons we started our coaching business, we believe its a privilege to fight for your goals and dreams and we help coach women on this point!

You're going to face challenges and adversity on your journey - there's no way around that. The thing you have control of is how you react. Knowing when to unleash your mongrel is a big part of that process.

Some of the key points we cover are:
Experiencing hardships and refusing to take it sitting down

Jo's personal experience in business and how unleashing her inner mongrel helped her achieve big goals

Hey there,
In today's episode we take a deep dive into how life changes can impact relationships, but how in our opinion that doesn't have to be the case.
We talk through some life changes that we've been through personally, such as:
Moving to Australia from New Zealand

Joining church

Making the transition from homeowner to property investor

Starting an online business

Starting a podcast

Marriage separation

...the list goes on!
Not all life changes are received in a positive way, particularly from the people that mean the most to us.  We speak about some reasons why we think this is the case and how you can deal with these types of reactions if you're faced with a similar situation.
At the end of the day, taking time to nurture the relationships that matter to you is important. As is realising that some relationships have seasons, and that is equally ok!
