I’ve been working closely with Cammy Gill and No.1 Goalkeeping Academy, so this was a great opportunity to sit down with him and properly understand the goalkeeper’s side of football.

It’s such a unique—and often lonely—position. A mistake can cost your team a goal, a game or even a trophy, and there’s nowhere to hide from it.

As Montrose’s number one, Cammy has learned that making mistakes is unavoidable. What matters is how you respond, stay level-headed and prepare yourself for whatever comes next.

That mentality became one of the main themes of our conversation.

This journey is taking me to some cool places.

About a month ago Kerr Dodds reached out to me to see if I would be interested in helping document his idea he has for his East Side Rapids Academy and Whitehill Welfare. A well known club in Edinburgh, Scotland of which he is now chairman.

After we first met I immediately said to Kerr we need to do a podcast on everything we just spoke about so here it is.

Why in Scotland cant we think bigger? It's always a case of having the piss taken out of you when you do. It's part of our culture.
