On Chickamauga Lake(Privateer Sailing Education Foundation)
On Chickamauga Lake, this is the season for learning to sail - for recreational sailing and sailboat racing.
The Privateer Sailing Education Foundation - which teaches sailing on the lake and hosts sail camp each summer - is located at Privateer Yacht Club, which is about as old as the lake created by the TVA’s completion of the Chickamauga Dam in 1940.
I spoke recently with Amber Wattenbarger, the foundation’s board president.
