John Carpay, President of the Justice Centre, joins producer Kevin Steel to talk about the forthcoming decision in the Whatcott criminal hate speech appeal.

William Whatcott was charged with “wilful promotion of hatred” after he and others entered the Toronto Pride Parade in disguise and distributed flyers stating that gay s3x was dangerous and unhealthy. The flyer concluded by urging readers to believe in Jesus Christ. He was acquitted following a trial in the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario. The Crown is now appealing Mr. Whatcott’s acquittal and a decision is anticipated this week.
