TOGETHER GROUP QUESTIONS
To use the “racing/running” metaphor… How would you describe your current spiritual state and/or leg of the race? (i.e. exhausted, energized, on the uphill/downhill, obstacles etc.)
Read Hebrews 12:1. Is there someone in the “cloud of witnesses” (a believer) who you draw encouragement from?
What are some “weights” you may be carrying and/or sins that may be “clinging” to your life that are tiring/hindering you?
From v.1, what are the “Action” words? “Description” words? How will you apply Point #1 to your life & prayer this week?
Read Hebrews 12:2-3. Again, using the race/running imagery… What have you been spiritually “focusing” on rightly or wrongly? (i.e. “performing” for God, pleasing others, Self, etc.)
What was Jesus’ motive? What did he do & deliver for us? What is the response God wants you to have as a result?
How will you specifically apply Point #2 in your life & prayer this week? How can you rest, refresh, and reenergize in this?
Read Isaiah 40:28-31 and PRAY for one another!
