This was inspired by a recent Vipassana sit in Onalaska, WA

Took Sila to the river
with breathe as our bridge
while crossing to samadhi
Sometimes a hot tottie,
Other times frozen frigid

Panes of clouds shatter
soothing rains of glass
dew drops shimmer
on blades of silent grass

Weather changes
like feelings erratic
clouds come and go
but nature - stay balanced

The present dissolves to the past
loosen the grip, soften the crash
gently back to the breathe
and there I go
                                     again
