It’s VETERAN’s Day and we’d like to thank our fellow Veterans for their service.  With a special thank you to Brad Pitt for playing a veteran everyone should have as a friend, Cliff Booth World War II Veteran which makes this episode fitting to air today.

We do love a good QT film and Once Upon A Time in HOLLYWOOD 2019 did not disappoint.  Oh to be hippies.  Just kidding those F*kn Hippies are not OK! This movie is filled with fun quotes and nostalgic scenes.  Seriously though, this pop culture movie hit brought out the BEST of a very tragic true crime story.  The bromance ensues while a very different SPOILER ALERT Sharon Tate ending plays out.  Based on a couple real characters most of the movie is not based on the true story.

We explore Charles Manson’s hippie cult and who is vulnerable to being in a cult.  It may surprise you.  It certainly wasn’t all peace, love and happiness.

Do we have a connection to Manson? In a weird way we do.

If you’re in Los Angeles you should definitely eat at El Coyote Cafe and Casa Vega Both of these historic restaurants are featured in the film. How does the food and margaritas measure up?  We’ll give you our review.

Roni makes us a frozen Flame Thrower Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita.

1 oz Contreau
2 oz Tequila (Thanks for the bday drizzly order Ms. Chrissy!)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice (from T’s tree)
.5 cup whole Strawberries
.25 oz Simple Syrup (T made ours)
1 slice Jalapeño (1 slice Spicy, 2 slices Hot, 2 slices FIRE)
.5 cup crushed ice

Step 1
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender & blend to combine.
Step 2
Pour into a margarita glass (we used vintage tumblers) rimmed with chili-lime seasoning.  Sprinkle more chili-lime seasoning on top of cocktail if desired.

We doubled recipe and made 2 + servings.
