Nursing Considerations

• administer slowly over 2-5 minutes – fatal QT prolongation and VTach, respiratory arrest • may cause headache, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth • asses nausea and vomiting • assess for extrapyramidal symptoms • monitor liver function tests
