Of all the “One Another’s”, nay all the words in Scripture few are as controversial as “Submit”. Our individualistic western culture consistently bucks at the idea of placing ourselves under the will of anyone but ourselves. We perceive it to be a sign of weakness, something utilized in combat sports to represent defeat. God has a different plan for the word, however, a plan that promotes strength not just in the church, but in families, and in the workplace as well. How then do we get from aversion to the word, to putting it into beneficial practice in our lives?
