One of the misconceptions about Christianity is that by becoming more Christ-like we have to give up our individualism. Nothing can be further from the truth.  The body of Christ has to be unified, but that body has many different parts that serve many different purposes.  God wants us to be more of ourselves, and that happens by not conforming to the world but transforming ourselves to Christ.
