We listen to Marty’s conversation with writer JACQUELINE WOODSON, taped in front of a live audience at the Free Library’s Logan Branch in North Philadelphia. Her books were selected as the 2018 selection of the Free Library’s One Book, One Philadelphia event to promote literacy, the most recent of which is a novel called Another Brooklyn. It’s set in the 1970s and is about young women confronting their impending adulthood.  Marty talked with Woodson about the book, writing, and her life, which she wrote about in her “free verse” memoir, Brown Girl Dreaming.
