1: One for All

“For by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.”

Hebrews 10:14

Why animal sacrifices?

a (V 3): They served as annual reminders of our sin problem

b (V 1): They served as shadows of something greater

Day-after-day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again & again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when This priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God… Hebrews 10:11-12

2: All for One: V 14:

“For by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.”

Hebrews 10:14

First: Jesus has perfected His people (V 15-18)

“Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

Hebrews 1:17b

Second: We are among those who are being made holy

One Lord: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your

soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:38b

One Team: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you

love one another.” John 13:35

One Mission: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39b

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will

carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
