There is humility, and then there is poisonous humility. This is when it is applied in the wrong context. We each have a will, and while it is important to know that by being in possession of a will, and by implication, in possession of freedom; the act of will is an act of self-limitation.
Rationalisation can limit our access to truth, while imagination can be our avenue to accepting it, and while 'the whole world is at war with reason', 'a man is a fool who complains that he cannot enter Eden by five gates at once.'
Let this be a small introduction into Week 2 of OH Radio's 'Make Me a Theologian', as we continue to delve into the mind of G.K. Chesterton through his book, Orthodoxy.
