Why does C.S. Lewis emphasise the difference between Moral ideals and Moral Rules? There appear to be certain laws around the ways that humans interact, but how do we know what these laws are and where do we get them from?
How does Christianity differ in the way we understand morality, and why do we need it if we now live under grace? We especially struggle when it comes to understanding questions around sex, commitment, and Christian behaviour. 'If what I am doing isn't hurting anyone else, how can you call it wrong?' This is a question we may encounter often, and Lewis sees it as an imperative that we as believers understand our response to this question.
