Consumers 4 Wellness is an organization set up to help consumers reach out to their legislatures regarding what they would like included in their healthcare plans. The goal is to create a better healthcare plan for holistic, integrative modalities that help the whole person. Each person has about $11,000 in healthcare dollars each year, yet many plans do not include chiropractic, massage, reiki healing, nutrition, sexual health, or other alternative options. By joining Consumers 4 Wellness, it will create a base of information and knowledge on what types of wellness programs consumers want in their healthcare plans. Then Consumers 4 Wellness will be a platform that can push for changes in our healthcare system.

Dr. Julie Miller has been a nurse since 1979. She became ill after exposure to an active herpes patient in the hospital. Tony's adopted mom, Vera Rich, led a life of many hardships from the age of 13. She grew up during the early 1930s and the U.S. Depression Era. She had to run away from a bad family life and raise her younger brother on her own. At 14, Vera got married to a 26-year-old lumberjack in Oregon. Tony's adopted mother became one of the first single mothers allowed to keep her adopted son in California.
