Who do you love the most?
Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said:
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.”
Luke 14:25-26
Hates = Miséō
properly, to detest on a comparative basis;
to love someone or something less than someone or something else;
centers in moral choice, elevating one value over another
One Love
When you love the giver more than the gift,
your commitments don’t change when your circumstances do.
When you focus your affection,
you expand your effectiveness.
1. You pretend to agree with everyone.
2. You feel responsible for other people’s feelings.
3. You overanalyze almost everything.
4. You have a hard time saying “no.”
5. You feel uncomfortable if someone is angry with you.
6. You feel the need to be nice all the time.
7. You need praise to feel good.
8. Criticism crushes you.
9. You avoid confronting people even when they’re wrong.
10. You avoid telling people how you really feel.
When you love God completely,
you begin to love others unconditionally.
