Walter dreamed of making it big, but it seemed like it wasn’t meant to be. On the heels of a failed business venture, he moved to Los Angeles in the hopes of becoming an actor. This attempt failed as well, and he was left with nothing but beans to eat as his debts escalated.

Walter began to seek funding for his latest concept, but was rejected by over 300 financiers. He didn’t give up, though, and his idea grew from a figment of his imagination into a $50 billion a year corporation known as the Walt Disney Company. 

In Galatians, we are encouraged to “not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (6:9)

Being a faithful follower of Christ is not always easy. It requires faith, commitment, and perseverance. And while we may miss out on certain things of this world, Jesus has told us that our reward in Heaven will be great.

Let’s rejoice and praise God for this wonderful gift.
