Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem. (Luke 9:51, NIV)

Prayer:

2,000 years ago, You, Jesus, set out walking to Jerusalem from the Sea of Galilee region. It was a 70-mile trek to the place where you would set us free. At this halfway point of Lent, we would stay within your journey where, because of divine love, you went to your destiny to die for us. Forgive us for being slow to follow. Give us the power of Your Spirit to keep up with your determined stride. As we approach Jerusalem, may our hearts begin to leap with anticipation of witnessing the greatest moment in human history. Amen.
