"For where jealousy and selfish ambition exists, there is disorder and every foul practice." James 3:16
Reflection:
No one is immune from the perils of jealousy and selfishness, not even the Apostles were so.
It is a dangerous practice when we measure our worthiness by comparing ourselves to others, especially when we are driven by pride. God made each one of us unique. He blessed us with our own gifts to share with others in harmony for His glory not ours.
Today’s Intention: O Lord, help us to recognize that we cannot build unity in the quicksands of jealousy and selfishness, but on the solid grounds of your love.
