'This people honors me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me" (Mark 7:6 - NABRE)
Reflection
Our humanity is a contradiction.
We say that we love our neighbors yet work at deceiving them. We say that we love life but disregard others' when theirs interfere with our freedom. We seek God but wander in darkness. Therefore, let us stay awake (cf. 1 Peter 5:8). Let us be intentional about unifying our lips and hearts.
Today's Intention:
O Holy Spirit, Dawn of Light, helps us honor Jesus with words and deeds that promote unity.
