Please turn in your Bibles to Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law
and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:37b-40
1: Loving Me, Myself and I
Self-love: a deep longing to diminish personal pain and increase personal happiness
2: Moving From Self-Seeking to Self-Giving
App: make your self-seeking the measure of your self-giving.
3: The Engine of Love: Love God
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37
“Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.”
John 7: 37b-38
App: Let all of your longing be satisfied in Him.

2: Who’s my neighbor? See John 3:16-21, Luke 9:11-13
What is God’s Spirit speaking into your life today? How must you respond?
