Are there lessons from the gym, training principles that we can carry over to our real life.
In this series we look at different principles and techniques we apply to the gym and see if we can extrapolate them and apply them to real life.
We look back on the last 6 months of the Podcast and all the growth. Not only in the Pod itself but in our own lives too.
Could it be that the very thing we do to help others ended up growing us all the more.
We chat with Daniel Savage. The man is 6 foot 5 inches, and stands tall as a proud Christian who uses his talents in the Technology space for the betterment of Christianity and the expansion of the Kingdom of God.Daniel has been a Christian for 18 years, been through his ups and downs along the way.Daniel has been doing some great work int he tech space for Christian community and connection.
What causes us to think we are beyond saving? That there is no hope for us?
What can we do to defend ourselves against those thoughts.
Your past may explain some of the man you became. It doesn't have to decide the man you're becoming.
Have you ever sai:
“That’s just how I am.”
“That’s how I was raised.”
“I struggle to trust people because of what happened to me.”
“I lose my temper because that’s what I grew up around.”
“You don’t understand what I’ve been through.”
“My past made me this way.”
We've all said this at one point.
'I don't have enough time'
But the truth is, we make time for what we value. If you decide what is important to you and why it is important to you. You will find time for it.
We are trying something new. Starting a 4 part series called the lies men believe. Each episode will be shorter and come out every week, instead of a long, fortnightly episode. This series is entitled, 'The Lies Men Believe'.Men are held down by lies they tell themselves that are not based on truth but are easy to believe and tell ourselves. We see it all too often. Lots of these may sound familiar but we are here to break down the lies and rebuild masculinity on the truth.
Jesus said to take up your cross and follow Him.
But.. what does that actually look like for you and what does it look like in this day and age?
