Jason Hough is an American independent filmmaker working primarily in horror, thriller, crime, and genre entertainment. His work is unusually hands-on: besides directing, he has accumulated credits as a writer, producer/executive producer, cinematographer, editor, visual-effects artist, special-effects artist, casting director, and stunt performer. IMDb currently lists him with 14 directing credits, 15 writing credits, 19 producer credits, and 10 cinematography credits. 🎬 Notable directing work The Devil's Dancers is one of his principal current projects. Hough serves as creator, showrunner, director, writer, executive producer and director of photography on the horror series. The individual episodes include: “The Dancers: Omaha, Nebraska” “Skins: Auburn, Alabama” “Huntress: Biloxi, Mississippi” “Rise of the Succubus: Part 2: Buford, Georgia” The IMDbPro listings consistently identify Hough as director, writer and cinematographer on these episodes. 🩸 Naamah Hough also directed, wrote and executive-produced Naamah, a horror short that has had a particularly strong festival run. It accumulated 31 wins, including Best Horror, Best Director and Best Special FX recognition at various festivals. At the 2026 Champs-Élysées Film Awards, Naamah won Best Horror, with Hough credited as director/executive producer/writer; he was also credited for its editing and special effects. 🔥 The Devil's Dancers The film/series has also generated substantial festival recognition. Hough's The Devil's Dancers won awards including Best Director, Best Horror, Best Thriller and Best Cinematography at various 2025–26 festivals. Interestingly, Hough isn't simply sitting in the director's chair. On The Devil's Dancers, he is credited across a remarkable number of departments—direction, writing, executive producing, cinematography, VFX and more. 🎥 Other work His directing credits also include Phantom Lady, an action/crime short, where he handled direction, writing, cinematography and editing. He is also attached to the upcoming Detective Rose Thorne, a crime/drama/thriller series, as showrunner and director, with Hough additionally serving as cinematographer and casting executive. The project was listed as in pre-production in June 2026. My read on Hough What's interesting about Jason Hough is that he looks less like a conventional studio director and more like a multi-hyphenate independent filmmaker who builds projects from the ground up. The pattern in his credits is pretty damn clear: Director → Writer → Producer → DP → Editor → VFX/SFX → Casting That's a filmmaker who wants control over the entire production pipeline. And the genre is equally clear: dark, adult horror/thriller material with heavy practical/special-effects involvement.

MIKEY’S MOVIE MADNESS

Mikey’s Movie Madness is where movies, memories, opinions, and a whole lot of madness collide! Hosted by Mikey, Mikey’s Movie Madness is a celebration of everything that makes movies more than just something you watch—they’re something you experience, remember, argue about, quote endlessly, and sometimes obsess over for the rest of your life. From the classics that shaped generations to the blockbusters that dominated the box office, from cult favorites and guilty pleasures to the movies that should have been great but somehow went completely off the rails, Mikey takes viewers on a fun, entertaining, and sometimes brutally honest ride through the world of film. And make no mistake—this isn't your typical movie-review show. Mikey isn't interested in sitting behind a desk and giving you a boring lecture about cinematography, lighting, or whether a film successfully achieved its director's artistic vision. Mikey’s Movie Madness is about the way real people experience movies. It's about the scenes that made you cheer, the endings that made you scream, the characters you loved, the villains you couldn't stand, and those movies you can watch 100 times and still stop flipping channels when they come on. Every episode brings its own brand of madness as Mikey dives into movies from every era and every corner of Hollywood. He'll revisit legendary films, uncover forgotten gems, debate controversial classics, examine movie franchises, celebrate iconic performances, and take a hard look at some of the biggest bombs, disasters, and cinematic head-scratchers ever committed to film. And Mikey has opinions. Lots of them. Sometimes he'll agree with the critics. Sometimes he'll completely disagree with them. And sometimes he'll look at a movie everyone else considers a masterpiece and say, "Are you kidding me?" That's part of the fun. Mikey’s Movie Madness isn't about telling you what you're supposed to think. It's about starting the conversation. Because everybody has that one movie they absolutely love that everybody else hates. Everybody has a movie they think is overrated. Everybody has a favorite actor, favorite character, favorite decade, favorite soundtrack, favorite movie quote—and everybody has an opinion about what belongs on the list of the greatest movies ever made. Mikey wants to hear yours. Whether you're a lifelong movie buff, a casual viewer, a horror fanatic, a comedy lover, a superhero junkie, a fan of classic Hollywood, or someone who simply loves kicking back with a good movie and a bowl of popcorn, there's something here for you. Because movies aren't just about Hollywood. They're about us. They're tied to moments in our lives. A particular movie can take you right back to a childhood bedroom, a first date, a night at the theater with your parents, a Saturday afternoon with your friends, or a time in your life when everything seemed a little simpler. Some movies make us laugh. Some make us cry. Some scare the hell out of us. Some inspire us. And some make us wonder how anybody actually got paid to make them. That's the madness. Mikey’s Movie Madness is a place where the conversation can go anywhere. One week, Mikey might be celebrating a beloved cinematic masterpiece. The next, he could be tearing apart one of Hollywood's biggest train wrecks. He might explore why a movie became a cultural phenomenon, ask what happened to a once-great franchise, revisit a film decades later to see whether it still holds up, or simply settle an argument that movie fans have been having forever. And there will always be room for the unexpected. Because when you're talking movies, you never know where the conversation is going to go. At its heart, Mikey’s Movie Madness is about having fun. It's about remembering why we fell in love with movies in the first place and sharing that love with people who feel the same way. So grab some popcorn. Turn up the volume. Bring your opinions. And be prepared to disagree with Mikey. Because around here, every movie has a story, every fan has an opinion, and every opinion is fair game. Welcome to Mikey’s Movie Madness— where the movies are legendary, the opinions are LOUD, and the madness never ends!
