The first thing Elspeth has to discover is what the term Remap in Hertfordshire South actually means. This is a charity that brings together people with skills to solve problems for individuals with special educational needs and disability (SEND) when there’s nothing “off the shelf” to help.

To achieve this, Remap builds custom equipment for each person. One skilled job was creating a board with spoken messages worked by different shaped buttons for a blind person who finds communication extreme difficult. Elspeth was really amazed at the inventive minds and skills which went into help these individuals.
