Today in Elspeth’s One to One, she talks to someone who’s been a vegan for many many years and an early member of the Vegan Society. We think of it today as a newly up-and-coming interest but it’s been part of his life from his marriage onwards.
He has been a volunteer for different tests including one to discover the speed of the transit of food through the human body and has lectured on veganism for many years. Although there are many reasons for eating this way, for example, compassion for animals, and for health, Harold sees the main reason for practising veganism is to save the natural life on the planet.
