In One to One with Elspeth this week, she has turned to an avid St Albans allotment owner, strong enough to get trees and brambles down that reduce his plot. He is keen enough to plan all sorts of vegetables, and hopefully plums from the plum tree.

Having worked extremely hard physically, in his paid employment on work with a school playing field, he finds a natural continuity in working his own plot, which he can form as he chooses, and ethically grow the produce he wants. Richard has a sense of humour, so you’ll often find yourself chuckling at what he says.
