What if you had one week left to live? What would you do with it?
"One Week Left to Live" is a message series on Jesus' last week on earth. We can learn some things about how Jesus handled his last week on earth. The second thing we learn occurs surrounding Jerusalem and the temple on the next day. In this message, Pastor Sam answers the question, "What moved Jesus emotionally on the second day leading up to his earthly death?" In Luke 19:41-48, we see Jesus was moved in two ways.
Jesus shows us from these passages that even when life is short or difficult, we should not allow ourselves to become self-absorbed. We must consider our feelings and ask If we are moved by the right things. We must choose to be moved by those that reject Jesus, praying that their spiritual blindness would be removed. We must also choose to be moved by those exploiting the church for gain or convenience. This should upset us, and we should challenge those who want to take shortcuts with their faith. Ask yourself if the things that moved Jesus, move you. If not, pray that God would break your heart for them.
