Oneness is not a marriage strategy. It is a theological reality that marriage is either rooted in or slowly dismantled by.

This teaching works through what it means to be one with God before attempting to be one with another person. The argument is precise: affirmation is the engine of definition, and whatever affirms you will shape you into its image. If affirmation is sourced in a spouse, a status, wealth, or self, the relationship becomes a mirror of insecurity rather than a testimony of union. Because God is the only legitimate source of affirmation, the nature that pleases Him is Christ, and sons are built up in faith to reflect that nature into every covenant they carry. The teaching also frames marriage with theological weight: the second most consequential decision a person makes, behind only who they serve, because who you serve determines how you spend eternity, and who you marry determines how you spend reality.
